Community Advisory Board : CAB
The Community Advisory Board (CAB) consists of individuals or stakeholder representatives who provide independent advice. Facilitates the participation and involvement of community stakeholders in the research process. There were regular meetings with representatives of the research team to inform community stakeholders about proposed and ongoing research and provide opinions from communities to the research team on local norms and beliefs, as well as various local perspectives and concerns regarding the research project.
Objective
- In order for the CAB committee to act as a link between the community and target groups in the community and the research team on various matters including information about research concept such as news, knowledge about AIDS disease, Covid-19, Influenza, RSV and understanding about research projects that will be carried out in the community lead to solving misunderstands about research projects that will be carried out in the community.
- Give opinions and suggestions about the project to be implement including ethics, methods, forms used and benefits of research participants.
CAB ROLE
- Provide ideas and information about various beliefs of the community.
- Provide ideas and suggestions for drafting consent forms.
- Provide ideas on how to reduce risky behavior for participant while conducting research comply with research protocol.
- Recommend methods for disseminating accurate information and research results to the community.
- Provide information about the research project to the community and provide community information to the research team.
